What is love?
Is it locked away in a heart-shaped pendant, the one that you rarely open to see, but just having it close to your beating heart gives you comfort? Or is it loud like the ringtone that you have set just for them, so you can hear them even when you can't?
Is it packed in the container for salt at your friend's house, the one that you know is kept on a rack on the right? Or is it mixed in the gravy that always has too much of something, that you still slurp like it's the best thing you've ever had?
Is it refreshing like the crisp air at midnight when you take long walks away from issues that keep you stuck? Or is it warm like the cup of tea that they make so you can sleep for a little longer?
Is it tucked under a pillow that you hit your friend with as you catch them sleeping mid-movie? Or is it parked beside the car that comes to pick you up every time so you don't have to drive?
Is it muted like the conversations in the class as you discuss your next meal? Or is it shared like the songs they send that you save in a separate playlist?
Is it hanging in a wardrobe that you steal clothes from because you can't find anything in yours? Or is it tangled in the cobwebs that cover that old postcard that you can't discard?
Is it lost in the air like the scent of a wilted flower? Or is it blooming in a garden far away, waiting to be explored?
